Energy Storage Systems
All in One Energy Storage Systems
At Conneely Energy we offer All in One Energy Storage Systems. Domestic all-in-one energy systems integrate multiple home energy solutions into a single, compact unit, typically combining solar inverters, battery storage, and intelligent energy management systems. They offer greater efficiency, simplicity, and the ability to manage and store renewable energy effectively.
An all-in-one domestic energy system typically includes:
- Solar Inverter: Converts the Direct Current (DC) electricity generated by solar panels into Alternating Current (AC) used by household appliances.
- Battery Storage: Stores excess solar energy generated during the day for use at night or during power cuts. Common options are modular lithium-ion battery packs that can be scaled to meet a home’s specific energy needs.
- Energy Management System (EMS): Acts as the “brain” of the system, using AI and smart software to monitor energy flow in real-time, deciding whether to use solar power, draw from the battery, or pull from the grid.
- Optional Gateway/Whole-Home Backup: An optional component that enables seamless, automatic switching to battery power during a grid outage, operating as an uninterruptible power supply (UPS).
- EV Charger Compatibility: Many modern systems integrate the ability to connect a DC Electric Vehicle (EV) charger directly into the unit.
Benefits for Homeowners
- Energy Independence: Maximise the use of self-generated renewable energy, reducing reliance on the national grid and volatile utility prices.
- Cost Savings Optimise energy usage by storing energy during off-peak hours (when electricity is cheaper) and using it during expensive peak times.
- Backup Power: Provides peace of mind by keeping essential appliances running during blackouts or grid failures. As we have seen from recent storms, Irelands electricity supply can be damaged by falling trees etc. and homes have been without power for in some cases days. Battery power can act as a back up and keep important electrical items such as fridges, heating, lights going during the power outage.
- Simplified Installation & Monitoring: By integrating multiple components into one unit, installation is faster and simpler, and a single app provides comprehensive monitoring and control of the entire system.
- Scalability: Modular designs allow homeowners to easily expand battery capacity or add more solar panels as their energy needs evolve. They could start off with 5 or 10kWh and expand to suit their electricity demand.
